[Microsoft AI Feature] Recall - How to Set Up and Enable
Before using Windows Recall, please make sure you meet the minimum hardware requirements and prerequisite conditions. [Microsoft AI Feature] Recall
If you’ve confirmed that your hardware meets the requirements, please refer to the necessary settings and conditions before use:
Please first check your operating system version — it must meet Microsoft’s specification of 26100.3915 or higher [Microsoft OS internal build 26100.3915]
1. Click [Keyboard] > then [Settings]
> go to the [System] page > and click [About] > to check the [OS Build], as shown in the image below.
2. If it doesn’t meet Microsoft’s specification, go to [Windows Update] > click [Turn On]
> then click [Check for updates]
, as shown in the image below.
To protect your data security and privacy, you must sign in with your personal Microsoft account and set up Windows Hello before using the Recall feature.

Device Encryption and Recall Snapshot Settings
1. Click [Keyboard] > then [Settings]
> go to the [System] page > click [Privacy & Security] > then click [Device Encryption] > and click [Turn On]
2. Click back to [Privacy & Security] > then click [Recall & Snapshots] > and click [Turn On]
After completing the steps above, click [Keyboard] — if you see Recall
in the Start menu and taskbar, it means the feature has been successfully enabled.
If you want to turn off Windows Recall, please follow these steps:
1. Click [Keyboard] > then [Settings]
> go to the [System] page > click [Recall & Snapshots] > and click [Turn Off]
If you want to delete Windows Recall snapshot records, please follow these steps:
1. Click [Keyboard] > then [Settings]
> go to the [System] page > click [Recall & Snapshots] > and click [Delete Snapshots]
If you want to reset Windows Recall, please follow these steps:
1. Click [Keyboard] > then [Settings]
> go to the [System] page > click [Recall & Snapshots] > then click [Advanced Settings] > and click [Reset Recall]
