[Motherboard] Motherboard PCIe Q-Release function - Introduction
Q-Release is a new eject mechanism for ASUS motherboards with PCIe slots. You can refer to the following steps to unlock the latch of the PCIe slot and easily install or remove the graphics card in the PCIe slot.
Note: Please make sure the system power cable is removed when installing or removing the graphics card

How to use PCIe slot Q-Release to install Graphics Card：
(Example: ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI)
Please follow the steps to press the PCIe slot Q-Release button and install the graphics card
1: Press the PCIe slot Q-Release button
2: Make sure the PCIe push latch has been pressed.
3: Install the graphics card in vertical downward direction
(Example: TUF GAMING B650E-E WIFI)
1: Ensure that the PCIe slot Q-Release lever is in its upright(locked) position
2: Align the graphics card with this PCIe slot
3: Install the graphics card down firmly until it is fully seated and you hear a click, confirm that the release lever has automatically locked the graphics card in place
Caution!
a. Do not press the release lever down during the installation
b. Ensure that the release lever has returned to and is securely held in its upright(locked) position afer the installation
How to use PCIe slot Q-Release to remove the graphics card：
(Example: ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI)
Please follow the steps to press the PCIe slot Q-Release button and remove the graphics card
1: Press the PCIe slot Q-Release lever down until you hear a click
2: Ensure that the release lever stays in the down(unlocked) position
3: Carefully lift the graphics card out of this PCIe slot
Caution! Do not lift the release lever back up manually
4. Once the graphics card is completely removed from this PCIe slot, the release lever will automatically return to its upright (locked) position
(Example: TUF GAMING B650E-E WIFI)
1: Press the PCIe slot Q-Release button
2: Make sure the PCIe push latch is pressed.
3: Remove the graphics card in vertical upward direction

1. Login to ASUS website, enter the name of the motherboard you want to check in the search box on the top right corner and click ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI
2. Click on [Technical Specifications]
3. Confirm in the [Special Feature] field, as shown below, which shows the motherboard supports PCIe slot Q-Release
