[LCD Monitor] Troubleshooting - If the USB port you connected your monitor to does not charge or respond, please refer to this FAQ for solutions.

If the USB port you connect to your ASUS monitor does not charge or respond, please refer to this FAQ for solutions.

The following uses ProArt PA27JCV as an example:

1. Check whether the energy saving/power saving mode setting of the ASUS monitor is set to the normal level:

The energy saving mode setting to the normal/primary level allows the monitor to detect USB signals regardless of whether it is in normal or power saving (standby) mode.

This setting can be found in the OSD menu -> Settings

(In the deep level, in standby mode, USB signal detection will be turned off, so the monitor will not charge external devices)

(Due to energy saving regulations, the default setting of ASUS monitors in this setting is mostly deep level, so it needs to be changed to the normal level)

2. Confirm whether the USB/Thunderbolt upstream port is connected to the computer:

Connecting the USB/Thunderbolt upstream port to the computer can enable the USB hub function.

The USB downstream port can then be connected to devices such as a mouse/keyboard to operate the computer.

(If the upstream port is not connected, the downstream port will not function and the connected device will not charge or respond)

3. Confirm whether the USB upstream/downstream ports are connected to the correct ports:

PA27JCV as an example, ⑥/⑦ are upstream ports (⑥ includes support for USB power transmission), please connect the PC via a USB-C cable.

The downstream ports are ⑨/⑩, please connect the USB device (mouse/keyboard, etc.) to this port:

4. If there is still no response, please check whether the port is responsive when connected to other devices:

If you connect a device to the USB port but it does not charge/respond, please try to use other devices to check whether it responds, and whether it responds when connected directly to the computer.

Confirm whether it is a problem with the device itself or the display is unresponsive.

If the above troubleshooting still cannot solve your problem, please call ASUS Customer Service Center and provide the product serial number.
