Building on Studio INI’s expertise in creating experiential public artworks, the installation draws inspiration from the ASUS Zenbook, known for its innovative, lightweight design and proprietary Ceraluminum^™ material, to create a kinetic, biomimetic sculpture.

The installation will measure changes in conductivity caused by visitors’ touch to create an AI-generated model representing visitors’ real-world interactions with the piece.

In “Willful Wonder,” humans and technology unite in an interactive journey. This fusion of technology and aesthetics mirrors ASUS’s commitment to innovation, cutting-edge engineering, nature-inspired materials, and meticulous design, resulting in high-performing, practical, dynamic, lightweight, and beautiful devices.

Visitors walk along a central passage, triggering large wing-like semi-transparent panels to part and close behind them. Spectators witness this perpetual movement, with the wings concealing and revealing individuals as they traverse.

The installation mirrors Zenbook’s slim silhouette by sculpting lightness and mimicking nature’s sensitive triggering mechanisms, creating a playful interplay of revealing and concealing movements.

This installation blends light and texture. Aluminum honeycomb wings reflect and absorb light, showcasing aerospace-grade lightness, thermal control, and strength.

Enhancing the experience, ASUS’ Ceraluminum^™ invites tactile exploration. Develop to merge aluminum’s lightness with ceramic’s strength, 30% lighter and three times as tough.

These materials enable forward-thinking, eco-friendly design, seamlessly merging innovation with artistry. Lightweight, durable, sustainable, and nature-inspired.

AI Algorithm

for space formations that capture human behavior.

Measuring changes in conductivity when a human hand touches the Ceraluminum^™ of each wing, feeding this data into an AI generative algorithm. This process reflects human behavior and interaction with space. By tracking how people navigate and move, we capture real-time data points that are fed into the AI model. This generates dynamic, transforming spatial volumes or 4D forms, that change over time to represent the evolving behavior of individuals. The resulting spatial volumes illustrate the ephemeral architecture shaped by human behavior, inspired by the responsive and dynamic physical space.

"As people walk through the installation and touch the Ceraluminum^™, each touch will be recorded by the changes in its conductivity. So people will be able to see a spatial representation of their behavior in the installation."
